Lhakpa Tsamchoe

Lhakpa Tsamchoe, a talented Indian actress of Tibetan heritage, was born in the year 1972. Her remarkable career has made her the first Tibetan woman to successfully transition into mainstream cinema. One of her most notable roles was in the 1997 Hollywood blockbuster film "Seven Years in Tibet," where she shared the screen with esteemed actors Brad Pitt and David Thewlis. In this critically acclaimed movie, Tsamchoe portrayed the character of Pema Lhaki, a Tibetan tailor and the wife of Austrian mountaineer Peter Aufschnaiter.
