The Kaplan Twins, born in 1993 in New Jersey, are a dynamic duo that delves into the intricacies of contemporary celebrity culture, offering a fresh perspective on the issues of their generation. The twins, Allie and Lexi, are NYU graduates from the class of 2015, with Allie holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine Art, with a concentration in painting and a minor in Art History, and Lexi possessing a similar degree with a concentration in painting.
Their artistic journey has primarily unfolded in Los Angeles, with notable exhibitions at We Rise Gallery, De Re Gallery, and the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery. In addition to their traditional exhibitions, they have also participated in several pop-up shows and performed a live piece at the Delano Hotel during Art Basel Miami Beach in 2017.
In the summer of 2018, the Kaplan Twins debuted their new series at the Montauk Beach House, a luxurious hotel in Montauk, New York, in collaboration with Roman Fine Art. Their work has been amassed in numerous celebrity and private collections worldwide.
