Ky-Mani, a talented individual, was born in Falmouth, Jamaica, but his life took a dramatic turn at the age of nine when he relocated to the inner-city of Miami, a vastly different environment that would shape his future.
Growing up, Ky-Mani's initial passion lay in sports, with no inkling of his musical abilities waiting to be unearthed. However, under the guidance of his mother, he began to explore his creative side by taking piano and guitar lessons, as well as playing trumpet in his high school band.
In addition to developing his musical talents, Ky-Mani was a skilled athlete, excelling in soccer and American football. His versatility and love for sports were evident, and he continued to nurture these skills throughout his teenage years.
As he entered his teenage years, Ky-Mani discovered a new passion - rapping and deejaying. His first single, "Unnecessary Badness", marked the beginning of his musical journey. However, it was an unexpected request during a recording session at a Miami studio that sparked his interest in singing.
Inspired by this new found talent, Ky-Mani began experimenting with laying tracks, often collaborating with his brothers, Stephen, Julian, and Damian, as they explored the world of music together.
