Writer/Producer Koji Steven Sakai has had a prolific career, with his film and television projects airing on a diverse range of platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Paramount+, Roku, and Tubi.
Throughout his career, Sakai has had the privilege of working with a diverse array of talented and award-winning actors and filmmakers, including the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr., Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, James Shigeta, Michael Jai White, Mel Gibson, Mickey Rourke, Randall Park, RZA, Samuel L. Jackson, Terrence Howard, and Wilson Cruz.
As a writer, Sakai has penned an impressive eleven feature films that have been produced, and has also served as a producer on nine feature films. His production credits also include a one-hour comedy special that premiered on Netflix, as well as a comedy series that premiered on both Hulu and Peacock. Most recently, Sakai completed writing for a Japanese television series slated for Disney+.
Beyond his work in screenwriting, Sakai has also written books and graphic novels, and is a prolific producer, writer, and co-host of The Unofficial Official Story Podcast.
