Khalid Abdalla, a British-Egyptian actor, was born in 1980. He gained international recognition following his starring role in the 2006 Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning film, United 93. Directed and written by Paul Greengrass, the movie recounts the tragic events that unfolded on United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked as part of the devastating September 11 attacks.
Abdalla portrayed Ziad Jarrah, the pilot and leader of the four hijackers on board the ill-fated flight.
