One of his most notable performances to date is his portrayal of "Jack" in the indie feature film John Apple Jack, a cinematic masterpiece that garnered widespread acclaim and was showcased at numerous film festivals around the world, including the prestigious California Independent Film Festival (CAIFF),where Kent was honored with a nomination for a best-actor award in a lead role, alongside the illustrious Richard Dreyfus, an Oscar winner.
In addition to his work in film, Kent has also made a significant impact in television, particularly with his role as "Russell" in the groundbreaking Canadian TV show The Switch, a pioneering series that made history by featuring transgender actors playing transgender characters, a bold and innovative move that helped pave the way for greater representation and diversity in the industry.
