Juliane made her directorial debut with the short film 'Unsecured Loan' in 2007, which subsequently earned her a spot as a director in the 2008 Berlinale Talentcampus, where she was mentored by renowned director Mike Figgis.
The success of her award-winning first zero-budget feature, 'Emperor', paved the way for her to direct her second feature, 'Kinks', which won the prestigious Best Asian Comedy Award at the Colortape Film Festival in Australia.
Throughout her career, Juliane has showcased her versatility as a director by creating 13 short films that have been screened globally, and her feature film 'Trainstation' - a collaborative effort - won numerous accolades, including Best Feature at the Los Angeles Diversity Festival and the Kansas International Film Festival in 2016, as well as the Special Jury Award at the Film Fest Kosova.
Her feature film '8 Remains' was theatrically released in November 2018 and won the Jury Special Award during the 2019 Capital Filmmakers Festival in Berlin.
In a significant career milestone, Juliane teamed up with Wolf-Peter Arand and together with Executive Producers Malcolm Winter and Monika Gergelova, she transitioned from zero-budget to low-budget filmmaking, starting with '3 Lives', which was released in North America in August 2019, and 'The Curse of Hobbes House', which was in post-production as of February 2020.
