Josie Breen, a Seattle native, began her career in the entertainment industry at the tender age of 12, modeling in print advertisements and television commercials. At 16, she took a bold step, leaving home to pursue her dreams in Japan, and at 17, she headed to Hollywood to make a name for herself.
Her early success was marked by her two-season stint as 'Cara' on the popular television show "The Hogan Family". Within two years of her arrival in Los Angeles, Josie landed a role on the hit series "Melrose Place", quickly becoming one of television's most recognizable faces. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to portray a wide range of characters in various projects, including the ABC movies "The Fire Above" and "Dare to Love", the FOX telefilm "Deadly Vows", and the USA cable film "Baby Monitor: Sound of Fear".
In addition to her television work, Josie has also made a mark on the big screen, making her feature film debut in Oliver Stone's "The Doors", in which she played the wife of Doors' guitarist Robbie Krieger. Her subsequent films include the coming-of-age comedy "Book of Love" and the psychological thriller "Mikey".
As a versatile talent, Josie has also ventured into hosting, co-hosting Lifetime Television's morning talk show "The Balancing Act" and previously hosting "Parenting & Beyond", a show that offered parents creative solutions to everyday problems. She also hosted the PBS educational special "Teach More, Love More", which explored the joys, fears, and questions that accompany the beginning of life, featuring interviews with renowned experts such as Dr. T. Berry Brazelton.
Josie has been the face of several national commercial campaigns, including Neutrogena's skin care line, Dr. Scholl's Pedicure Essentials, and Murad Skin Care's Resurgence Regimen, a comprehensive line of products formulated to revitalize and rebuild hormonally aging skin.
