Before completing his education, McGuire had already made a name for himself as a member of the esteemed Playbox Theatre Company, where he honed his craft by participating in various radio dramas and Shakespearean productions.
As a drama student, he gained early recognition for his outstanding performance in the premiere of Laura Wade's satirical play, Posh, where he brought to life the character of a student member of the "Riot Club", a clever parody of the infamous Bullingdon Club at Oxford University.
