With over two decades of experience in the landscape design and build industry, dating back to 2001, Jenn has established herself as a respected professional in her field. Her extensive background includes owning a design-build company for over a decade, where she honed her skills in creating sophisticated, stylish, and natural landscape plans that harmoniously blend with their surroundings.
As a residential landscape designer, Jenn's expertise lies in helping clients unlock the full potential of their land, fostering healthier connections between people and their environments. She skillfully designs, manages, and implements both large and midsize projects throughout the Boston area, collaborating with top local professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
Jenn's television career began in 2010, when she joined the This Old House Auburndale project, working alongside the esteemed Roger Cook to create a charming front garden while preserving the natural river habitat behind the home. She later brought her expertise to Ask This Old House, commencing in 2015, and was officially appointed This Old House Landscape Contractor in January 2020.
Jenn's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Rollins College in Florida and a Master of Arts in Landscape Design and Land Use Planning from the Conway School of Landscape Design in Massachusetts. Additionally, she has been a Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist since 2004.
Prior to establishing her own business, Jenn held various roles, including lead designer at a prominent design firm in Boston, a large-scale nursery in the Boston suburbs, and even an Environmental Education Instructor in Vermont. Jenn resides in an early 1900s house in the Boston area with her husband and two sons.
