Jason-Shane Scott, an American actor, made the bold decision to pursue an acting career after high school graduation. He relocated to Los Angeles and enrolled in acting classes, dedicating himself to intense study.
In addition to his acting pursuits, Scott also took up modeling and spent several months in Europe, further expanding his horizons. Upon his return to the United States, he landed roles in various films, including Shrieker, Until Death, A Turn in the Tree, Caught, and Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss. He also appeared in Aerosmith music videos for "Love Is Hard on Your Knees" and "Hole in My Soul".
In 1998, Scott's big break came when he won the role of troubled teenager Will Rappaport on the daytime soap opera One Life to Live (OLTL). He relocated to New York City and spent three years on the show, earning two Soap Opera Digest Award nominations for his portrayal. The nominations were for Outstanding Male Newcomer in 1999 and Outstanding Younger Leading Actor in 2000.
During his time on OLTL, Scott was given a range of challenging storylines, allowing him to hone his acting skills. In 2001, he left the show and returned to Los Angeles, where he has since continued to pursue his passion for acting.
Scott's film credits include Wolves of Wall Street (2003),Latter Days (2004),and Starship Troopers 2 (2004). He has also made guest appearances on television shows such as For the People, Scrubs, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In addition, he has reprised his role as Will Rappaport on One Life to Live on several occasions, most recently in September 2007.
Scott has also appeared on CBS's The Young & The Restless and co-starred with Brittany Powell in the Soapnet series One Minute Soap, titled "Too Late".
