Jack McDonald is a 22-year-old writer/director who has gained widespread recognition for his debut short film, Call of the Void, which was created as his senior thesis film and is currently making a festival run in 2023.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jack's passion for filmmaking began to take shape at the tender age of 16. Throughout his high school years, he honed his craft, directing numerous projects and winning numerous youth filmmaking awards.
After completing his high school education, Jack went on to pursue higher education at the University of Oklahoma, where he further developed his skills as a content creator. During his time at the university, he had the unique opportunity to work with esteemed figures, including Oklahoma Head Coach Lincoln Riley.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Jack has collaborated with several prominent brands, including Instagram, the NFL, and directed music videos for artists featured in VEVO, MTV, Live Nation's Ones to Watch, and TIDAL.
