Heidi Swedberg is an American actress, born on March 3, 1966, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her parents, Kay and Jim Swedberg, were a high school English teacher and a laser physicist, respectively. She was raised in New Mexico and attended Sandia High School in Albuquerque from 1980 to 1984.
After graduating, Swedberg moved to Kentucky and spent a year at the Actor's Theatre of Louisville. Her first film role was in Norman Jewison's 1989 movie In Country. She then appeared in several films, including Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael, Kindergarten Cop, Too Much Sun, and Hot Shots!, as well as guest-starring in various popular television series.
Swedberg's most notable role was as Susan Ross, the fiancée of George Costanza, in the television sitcom Seinfeld. She appeared in 11 episodes of the show's fourth season, 17 episodes of the seventh season, and one episode of the ninth season via flashback. She also made a guest appearance in Wizards of Waverly Place as Jennifer Majorheely.
In addition to her work on Seinfeld, Swedberg appeared in several other television shows, including Empty Nest, Murder, She Wrote, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Grace Under Fire. She also played a supporting role as "Brandon's Mother" in the movie Galaxy Quest.
