Hasaan Gilmer's journey began in Philadelphia, but his formative years were spent in Brooklyn, New York, where he was raised by his grandmother. It was during this time that he developed a passion for drawing and sports, with baseball and basketball playing a significant role in his life. However, his trajectory took a dramatic turn when he crossed paths with rapper Foxy Brown, who introduced him to the music industry and invited him to join her on tour. This exposure led to numerous television appearances on programs such as Rap City: The Bassment and 106 & Park, as well as music videos and DVDs.
As Hasaan delved deeper into the rap star lifestyle, he began to realize that the glamour and glory weren't all they seemed, and he suffered a minor setback. It was during this challenging period that he discovered acting as a means of expressing himself in a positive and creative way. Hasaan enrolled in acting classes with renowned coach Ron Millkie, who is best known for his work on the film Friday the 13th. Under Millkie's guidance, Hasaan developed a unique acting style that is both fresh and charming, with a distinctive edge.
