Hamid Réza Javdan embarked on his professional journey in the United States in 1976, commencing his career with the Iranian Theatre and the Living Theatre. He continued his training in Canada, studying Comédia dell'Arte and other theatrical forms such as mask work and Bâlinais martial art, dance, makeup, and song. In France, he collaborated with the Cartoucherie de Vincennes and other companies.
Throughout his illustrious career, Javdan has directed numerous plays and acted in films. Since 1983, he has interpreted works by renowned authors such as Ben Jonson, Marlowe, Shakespeare, Marivaux, Giraudoux, J.C. Carrière, W.B. Yeats, Lorca, Aziz Néçin, and Iranian authors Hedayat, Saedi, Yalfani, and Maki.
In addition to his work on Western classics, Javdan has also delved into ancient texts, including Kalila and Dimna, the epics of Gilgamesh, Shahnameh, and the Iliad.
As a global citizen, inspired by various theatrical traditions, Javdan continues to navigate the intersection of Western and Eastern theatre, driven by his relentless pursuit of artistic expression.
