Georgiana Young, a talented actress, was born on September 30, 1923, in Los Angeles, California, USA, as Georgiana Belzer. She was known for her captivating performances in films such as The Story of Alexander Graham Bell (1939),Border Incident (1949),and No, No, Nanette (1940).
Under contract to David O. Selznick, Georgiana spent three years honing her craft and was screen-tested for the role of Suellen, Scarlet O'Hara's younger sister, in Gone with the Wind (1939). Although she lost the part to Evelyn Keyes due to her height, she went on to have a successful career as a professional model.
Georgiana's modeling career came to an end when she retired to marry the love of her life, Ricardo Montalban. The couple met through Georgiana's sister Sally Blane and her director/husband Norman Foster, who were working on a Mexican film together. Montalban was immediately smitten with Georgiana after seeing her in her only movie and on a magazine cover.
Their marriage produced four beautiful children: Victor Montalban, Mark Montalban (born 1947),Laura Montalban (a clothing designer born 1949),and Anita Montalban (born 1952).
As a member of the esteemed Young family, Georgiana was the half-sister of renowned actresses Loretta Young, Sally Blane, and Polly Ann Young.
