George Sikharulidze's life journey commenced in Tbilisi, Georgia, just as the Soviet Union was on the cusp of collapse, its fate hanging precariously in the balance. As a young adult, he embarked on a new adventure, crossing the Atlantic to the United States, where he settled in New York, a city that would become his adopted home.
At the tender age of 18, George enrolled in New York University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Studies, laying the groundwork for a future that would be filled with creative expression. His academic endeavors continued at Columbia University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Directing, further honing his skills and artistic vision.
In addition to his work as a writer and director, George has also taken on the role of professor, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of filmmakers at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
