Gary Orona, a native Californian born in 1964, began his illustrious career in photography at the tender age of 18, landing a job as a photographer for the Ventura Star Free Press.
By the time he turned 22, Orona had completed his degree in film production from Columbia University and was rapidly making a name for himself as a director and cameraman. His passion for extreme outdoor activities and love of travel led him to Tokyo, Japan, where he was handpicked by EMI Records to produce, direct, and photograph over 100 music videos for the Karaoke market.
By his mid-twenties, Orona had transitioned to producing and directing music videos and commercials, and at the age of 26, he was hired as the Director of Photography for Imperial Entertainment's The Bikini Carwash Company (1992). The following year, he directed the sequel, The Bikini Carwash Company II (1993),marking the beginning of his successful film career.
Throughout his illustrious career, Orona has produced and directed 65 episodes of erotic shows for HBO/Cinemax, 15 feature-length films for HBO/Cinemax, 4 mainstream independent feature films, including the New York International Film Festival "Best Picture" winner "Trance". He has also produced over 200 "special event erotic shows" for Directv, Pay TV, Pay Cable, and Home Video/DVD Worldwide, as well as over 100 music videos for EMI Records, Tokyo, Japan.
As a photographer, Orona has been published in over 20 major publications. In his personal life, Orona is married to adult actress Tabitha Stevens and was previously married to model and actress Lauren Hays.
