Biography

Gabriel Horn's journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age, as he acted in every grade school and community theater production possible. By the time he was seven years old, he had already landed a series of regional Dallas, Texas commercials advertising the neighborhood church he and his parents attended.

As he continued to hone his craft, Gabriel's passion for making films grew, and by the age of ten, he had saved up enough money to purchase his first video camera. He spent countless evenings and weekends convincing his family and friends to be a part of his latest project, and by the age of 13, he was acting in his first major motion picture.

Gabriel's big break came when he met his idol, Steve Martin, on the set of Paramount Pictures' Leap of Faith. By the time he was 15, he had co-written, starred in, and directed (alongside his father, Terry Horn) 20 episodes of Uncle Sam and The Capital Kids Club, a popular show that aired on Washington D.C. Public Cable Access.

This led to Gabriel being signed by talent manager Linda Townsend, who began sending him out for larger film roles and national commercials. Throughout high school, Gabriel continued to act and write screenplays, and after graduating from Cleburne High School in 1996, he enrolled in the KD Studio Actors Conservatory in Dallas.

During his time at the conservatory, Gabriel landed commercials for Omni Hotels, Dr. Pepper, and Southwest Airlines, as well as bit parts on Walker: Texas Ranger, The West Wing, Disney's Tuck Everlasting, and the Academy Award-winning film, Boys Don't Cry.

In recent years, Gabriel has been producing and directing for The New Palace Theater, which has produced both live theater and film. His feature documentary, Lovenutz, examines the quirky and beautiful town of Loveland, Colorado, which celebrates Valentine's Day all year round. He has also produced the direct-to-DVD vampire comedy, Night Crawlers, starring Joey Greco from TV's Cheaters.

Gabriel's latest project, Hamilton Pool, is based on the screenplay, The Red Ribbon Key, which he originally wrote for the stage but adapted for film with the help of Xander Berkeley. He is also involved with local film organizations in Austin, Texas, including the Austin Film Society and Reel Women.
