Fred Ottman, a renowned American professional wrestler, has made a lasting impact on the wrestling world under his iconic personas, Tugboat and Typhoon, as well as his memorable tag-team venture, The Natural Disasters, alongside John "Earthquake" Tenta, in the World Wrestling Federation.
Ottman's wrestling career, however, is not without its infamous moments, as he is also remembered for his ill-fated Shockmaster gimmick in World Championship Wrestling. During his time in the WWF, Ottman managed to secure a single Tag Team Championship title.
After retiring from professional wrestling following the closure of WCW in 2001, Ottman shifted his focus to a quieter life. He currently resides in Lakeland, Florida, where he holds a position as a safety manager for Gaffin Industrial Services, a reputable building cleaning service.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Ottman dedicates his time to his family, coaching the local little league team of his three children, Berkley, Beau, and Bailey.
