Fola Evans-Akingbola is a British actress and model of dual heritage, with parents from either Britain or Nigeria. Born in London, she spent her childhood in Bermondsey and Honor Oak Park. Despite initially pursuing a degree in philosophy, she chose to focus on her modeling career instead.
Fola's passion for the performing arts led her to attend the National Youth Theatre and the Identity School of Acting, where she honed her craft. She is a trained actress, having studied at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, Identity Drama School, and the Actors' Temple in London.
Since entering the industry in 2014, Fola has gained recognition for her work on acclaimed shows such as Game of Thrones (HBO) and Death in Paradise (BBC). Her stage credits include the Southwark Playhouse production of School Play, written by Alex MacKeith, which she performed in February 2017.
Fola's latest on-screen project is the British film VS., produced in association with BBC films, Wildgaze, and Silvertown Films, set to be released in 2018. She is also currently filming SIREN, a new TV series for Freeform/Disney ABC, which is expected to premiere in summer 2018.
