Eugene Byrd is an American actor born on August 28, 1975. He has had a prolific career in film, appearing in a range of movies including Dead Man, Sleepers, 8 Mile, Lift, and Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid. His notable film performances have earned him recognition, including winning the Break-Out Performance Award at the 2006 Method Fest Independent Film Festival for his leading role in Confess.
Byrd has also made a significant impact in television, starring as Dr. Sidney Trumaine in the popular series Crossing Jordan. His early television career saw him appear as a guest star in four episodes of The Cosby Show, playing the role of Rondinson Ashe III during the second season of Beverly Hills, 90210, and in the Touched by an Angel spin-off series Promised Land.
