Ester Pajusoo, born Ester Lage on July 1, 1934, is a renowned Estonian actress who has been active in the entertainment industry for nearly six decades.
Pajusoo's film career began with a small role in the 1960 drama television film Näitleja Joller, directed by Virve Aruoja. This was followed by an uncredited appearance in the 1972 television film comedy Noor pensionär, directed by Sulev Nõmmik.
After a long hiatus from film, Pajusoo made a comeback in 2006 with a role in the Roman Baskin directed comedy Vana daami visiit. This appearance revived her film career, and between 2006 and 2016, she appeared in eight films, including the title role of Astrid in the 2016 Sander Koit directed drama short.
In addition to her film work, Pajusoo has had a long and distinguished career in television. One of her most memorable roles was as the recurring character Reet from 2008 to 2013 in the historical mini-series Tuulepealne maa, which aired on Eesti Televisioon.
