Erica Muse was born Erica Long in Dallas, Texas, and spent her childhood moving throughout the suburbs. Her love for acting began at a young age, taking part in musicals and stage plays at Balch Springs Christian Academy. However, it was her passion for cosplay that initially helped her get her start in the industry.
As she grew older, Erica's focus shifted to college, where she attended classes while working part-time jobs as a go-go dancer, waitress, and bartender. It was during this time that she met Josh Martin, a videographer who would later become a significant figure in her career.
After graduating from college, Erica continued to work various jobs to make ends meet, including a stint as a veterinary assistant. However, her constant fostering of animals led to financial struggles, and she was forced to juggle multiple gigs to support herself.
Tragedy struck in 2014 when Erica's father was struck by a truck on his motorcycle. She became his primary caregiver and worked nights and weekends as a bikini team to build her portfolio and fund his prosthetic treatment.
In 2015, Erica was the victim of a brutal attack, which left her feeling unsafe as a solo sales rep or model. She began working through a temp agency and eventually landed a full-time job at an office where she quickly bonded with her coworkers.
Erica's career took a new turn in 2017 when she was asked to guest at a convention as a cosplayer. This experience sparked a new passion within her, and she began to pursue a career in voice-over work, anime, and video games.
With the guidance of her handler and a blossoming new relationship, Erica discovered her talent for voice-over work and began attending improvisation classes. She graduated from John Casablancas Center in 2018 and gained agency representation.
Erica's dream is to use her creativity to touch people's lives and bring stories to life. She believes that everyone deserves to escape into a good story, and she is determined to be a part of that process.
