Biography

Elspeth Grace Duxbury, a talented actress of considerable renown, left an indelible mark on the world of theatre and cinema through her numerous and diverse performances. Her personal life was marked by a loving marriage to John Fitzwalter Waterhouse, her third cousin, in the year 1937, and the couple went on to have three children, who are, in fact, our fourth cousins. Born in the Indian city of Mhow, Elspeth was the daughter of Maj. Charles Douglas Duxbury and the lovely Grace Elizabeth Martin. Her offspring would go on to achieve great things, with one of her children, John CG Waterhouse, becoming a celebrated musicologist.
