Eleanor Elizabeth Bamber, a talented young actress, was born in the picturesque South of England, UK, and grew up with a younger brother, Lucas. She began her acting career on stage, becoming the youngest ever member of The London Player's Theatre, and went on to play Young Jenny in Sir Trevor Nunn's production of "Aspects of Love" at The Menier Chocolate Factory, London.
Her early success on stage led her to transition into television and film, where she quickly landed notable roles. One of her earliest notable roles was as Lydia Bennett in the 2016 film "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," alongside Lily James and Matt Smith. She then played Dinah Lord in the stage production of "High Society," directed by Maria Friedman, at the Old Vic, London, earning her a nomination for an Evening Standard Best Newcomer Award.
Bamber's film career continued to flourish with her role as India Hastings in Tom Ford's thriller "Nocturnal Animals" (2016),starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Isla Fisher. Her performance earned her recognition as one of BFI and Screen Daily's Screen Stars of Tomorrow in 2015.
In the years that followed, Bamber appeared in a range of films, including "Extra Curricular Activities" alongside Timothy Simons and Colin Ford, and "High Resolution," for which she won Best Actress at The Orlando Film Festival. She also returned to the stage, playing Helena in Ibsen's "Lady from the Sea" at the Donmar, London, and winning 3rd prize at The Ian Charlson Awards for her performance.
Bamber's filmography includes "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms" alongside Keira Knightly and Morgan Freeman, as well as the upcoming films "The Seven Sorrows of Mary" and "The Show." In addition to her film work, she can be seen on BBC 1's television series "Les Miserable" as Cosette, alongside Dominic West and Olivia Coleman, and is currently filming the BBC 1 series "The Trial of Christine Keeler" as Mandy Rice-Davies, starring alongside Sophie Cookson and James Norton.
