Ellie Araiza was born and raised in Mexico, where she cultivated her passion for improvisational theater. At the tender age of 16, she made the bold decision to relocate to Chicago, immersing herself in the local theater and television scene.
As she continued to hone her craft, Ellie began to explore the realm of directing, creating a plethora of short films and music videos that would go on to garner international recognition. This marked the beginning of her journey as a multi-faceted artist, with her sights set on becoming a working actor, writer, and filmmaker.
At the age of 18, Ellie made the courageous move to Los Angeles, driven by her unwavering determination to turn her dreams into a reality. She threw herself into the competitive world of entertainment, working as a production assistant on independent films while simultaneously taking various acting classes to expand her skill set.
Ellie's impressive resume now boasts an extensive range of credits, including her critically acclaimed one-woman show, Turtle Love, which enjoyed a successful seven-month run at the I.O. West Theatre. Her impressive list of credits also includes work on several commercials, as well as notable television shows such as TNT's Southland and FX's The Bridge.
In addition to her work in front of the camera, Ellie is also a talented musician, serving as the lead singer and lyricist for the band Pie. Her passion for creative expression knows no bounds, and she is always on the lookout for the next great role to challenge and inspire her.
