Born in Rajahmundry, Easwari Rao later settled in Chennai, where she currently resides. She is married to the accomplished director, L.Raja. Easwari Rao's professional journey commenced with the Tamil film, Kavithai Paadum Alaigal, in 1990. Although this early project did not see the light of day in theaters, it laid the foundation for her future success.
Her breakthrough role came in 1997 with Raman Abdullah, a film directed by the acclaimed Balu Mahendra. Following this, Easwari Rao's popularity soared, and she became a sought-after actress. However, she remained selective about her projects, opting out of Koottaali due to concerns about the role's glamour quotient.
Easwari Rao's subsequent films include Guru Paarvai (1998),a Manoj Kumar-directed movie that starred Prakash Raj, Kushboo, and Anju Aravind.
