Dragon Guh Ryong, a South Korean actor and practitioner of Taekwondo and Hapkido, gained widespread recognition as a martial arts film star in the 1970s and 1980s, famously impersonating the legendary Bruce Lee after his untimely passing.
In his pursuit of mastering the art of Taekwondo, Guh studied under the guidance of his friend and fellow actor, Kim Tai-Chung, who had previously served as Bruce Lee's double in the scenes of the film "Game of Death", which were shot years after Lee's tragic demise.
Guh's remarkable resemblance to Bruce Lee was first discovered by a man who noticed his striking similarity to the martial arts icon while watching him perform on stage at a theater. This serendipitous encounter led to Guh being introduced to influential film directors in Hong Kong, ultimately propelling his career as a martial arts film star.
