Dick McMahon has showcased his remarkable acting range by taking on a diverse array of roles throughout his career. On stage, he has played the brilliant mathematician in the production of PROOF, and also portrayed the complex character of Talthybius in THE TROJAN WOMEN. His other stage credits include Dr. Singer in DREAMS OF PANDORA, Blaine Bland in THE CNN MACBETH, and the lead in DR. DOOLOTS' DILEMMA.
In film, Dick has appeared in a variety of roles, including a tough American General in the war movie PATHFINDERS, directed by Michael C. Humphries, who is also known for his role as young Forest Gump in the Tom Hanks film. He has also played a wounded Vietnam vet in the short film A HERO'S GIFT, and the title character in the feature-length film FRANKLIN WUNDER.
In addition to his acting career, Dick has also had a successful career in the broadcasting industry. He has served as General Manager of several radio/TV stations, and was VP European Operations for Telmar Communications in London. Furthermore, he has worked as an announcer on both the CBS & NBC radio networks, as well as for Nashville's famous GRAND 'OLE OPRY.
