Diana Bracho was born on December 12, 1944, in Mexico City, Mexico, to actor/director Julio Bracho, niece of actress Andrea Palma, and aunt of actor Julio Bracho. She is the daughter of a renowned family in the Mexican film industry, with her father being a prominent figure in the industry.
She began her acting career as a child, appearing in two films directed by her father, San Felipe (1949) and Immaculate Conception (1950). She later moved to New York to study Philosophy and Letters.
Diana Bracho made her stage debut in the play Israfel by Abelardo Rodríguez alongside Sergio Bustamante. She then transitioned to television, making her debut in 1973. She won the Silver Ariel award twice, first in 1973, and later for El infierno, de todos tan temído. She was also nominated for Best Actress for Letters from Marusia (1976) and Entre Pancho Villa y una mujer desnuda (1996).
Diana Bracho has been involved in co-productions with countries such as France, Germany, Britain, Italy, Spain, and the United States. She has starred in several television series and soap operas, including Cuna de lobos (1986) and Cadenas de Amargura (1991).
She is set to play the role of the black widow in the third season of Mujeres Asesinas, although she initially confirmed her participation in Salvador Mejía's new telenovela, La tempestad, she later rejected her role.
