Person Biography:
Dr. Desiree Hurtak is a social scientist, futurist, and co-founder of The Academy For Future Science, a global organization operating in over 15 countries. She is also an environmentalist and author of several books, including "Overself Awakening" and "The 72 Names of the Myriad Expressions of the Divine Mother".
Dr. Hurtak has worked extensively in Egypt and Mexico, recording acoustic testing of ancient structures and participating in the exploration that discovered the "Tomb of Osiris" on the Giza Plateau in 1997. She has a Master's degree in International Relations from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from The New School University.
As a film producer, Dr. Hurtak has worked with the Manhattan Neighborhood Network, a public access TV station, and has won 14 national and international film awards for her work, including "The Light Body", "The Voice of Africa", and "Initiation". She has also been a scientific consultant for bestsellers such as "The Doomsday Conspiracy" and has appeared on numerous films and radio presentations, including "The Deepak Chopra Show" and "Coast to Coast Radio".
Dr. Hurtak is an Evolutionary Leader, allowing her to network with key critical thinkers from the United Nations and other major academic institutions. She is also a co-founder of the Committee for Spiritual Values and Global Concerns and has presented at various international conferences, including the United Nations Rio+20 Summit, the UN DPI Climate Forum, and the Parliament of the World's Religions.
