David's life journey commenced in Massachusetts, a birthplace amidst the post-World War II baby boomer phenomenon. As a child, he was undoubtedly influenced by his father's profession as a pastor, which likely sparked his desire to captivate and entertain audiences. The acting bug bit him firmly during his junior high years when he attended an acting workshop at a nearby university. This marked the beginning of his lifelong passion for the stage, which remained a constant presence throughout his high school and college years.
As a high school student, David joined a small professional theatre company in Boston, further honing his craft. He also had the opportunity to share the stage with esteemed institutions, including the Harvard Drama Club and the Tufts University Summer Theatre. David's academic pursuits led him to Brandeis University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree and received a well-rounded education in the dramatic arts. He also had the privilege of studying playwriting under the guidance of renowned playwright Israel Horovitz.
Following his move to Raleigh, North Carolina in the mid-1980s, David has since established himself as a versatile performer, working consistently in various mediums, including film, television, stage productions, industrials, and commercials.
