T. C. Balaji, professionally known as Daniel Balaji, was a renowned Indian actor who predominantly made a name for himself in the Tamil film industry, with occasional appearances in Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam films.
He began his career in 1998, serving as a unit production manager on the set of Kamal Haasan's unreleased magnum opus, Marudhanayagam. Following this, he transitioned to television serials before eventually breaking into the film industry.
His first major role was in the critically acclaimed Kaakha Kaakha (2003),where he portrayed a police officer alongside Suriya, who played the leading role.
Balaji also gained recognition for his outstanding performance as the antagonist in the Dhanush-starrer Polladhavan (2007),which garnered widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences alike.
