Clea Lewis is an American actress born on July 19, 1965, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She is the daughter of a writer mother and a former vaudeville performer and lawyer father. Lewis attended Brown University, graduating in 1987. She is married to Peter Ackerman and has two sons, Stanley born in 2002 and Alvin born in 2005.
Throughout her career, Lewis has appeared in various television shows, including Ellen, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Flying Blind, and Friends, where she played the role of Frannie in the first episode. She has also appeared in numerous films, such as Scotch & Milk, The Rich Man's Wife, and Diabolique.
In addition to her live-action roles, Lewis has done extensive voice-over work, including the Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants and the ABC Saturday morning cartoon Pepper Ann. She has also voiced characters in films like Ice Age: The Meltdown. Lewis's unique voice, described as nasal and squeaky, has led to her being cast in many animation roles.
In 2000, Lewis lent her voice to the character Amy Lawrence in the animated film Tom Sawyer. She also played the role of Gina, a chatty ad agency worker, in the 2007 film Perfect Stranger.
