María del Pilar Peña Sánchez, widely known as Candela Peña, is a talented and accomplished Spanish actress, born on July 14, 1973, in the charming city of Gavà, located in the province of Barcelona, within the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain.
Growing up as the only child of a loving couple who owned a bar in Barcelona, Candela was exposed to the vibrant culture and energy of the city from a young age. Her early introduction to the world of dance began when she was just four years old, and she continued to nurture her passion for the performing arts throughout her childhood.
After completing her high school education, Candela made the bold decision to relocate to Seville, where she began taking theatre classes. Her journey eventually led her to Madrid, where she continued to hone her craft and develop her skills as an actress.
In 2001, Candela took a creative detour and published her novel, Pérez Príncipe, María Dolores, with the encouragement of the renowned Spanish film director, Pedro Almodóvar.
