Bruno Merle, a talented French screenwriter and director, embarked on his cinematic journey by helming his initial short film, La fille des étoiles, in the year 1997. This marked the beginning of a fruitful creative path, as he went on to direct a succession of short films, including Immortelle in 1998 and Le tombeur, a collaborative effort with Olivier Abbou, in 1999. The following year, Merle continued to hone his skills by directing the short film Plus que parfait in 2000. Furthermore, he co-directed numerous commercials and videos with Olivier Abbou between 1999 and 2000, fostering a sense of camaraderie and creative synergy between the two collaborators. After a period of honing his craft, Merle made his feature film debut with Héros in 2007, a milestone that solidified his position as a prominent figure in the French cinematic landscape.
