Noted actor Billy Brown was born and raised in the vibrant city of Inglewood, California. He has made a lasting impression on the small screen, taking on a wide range of memorable roles throughout his career. One of his most notable performances was as detective Mike Anderson on the critically acclaimed Showtime series Dexter, a role he portrayed from 2011 to 2012. Prior to his stint on Dexter, Brown starred as boxer Richard "Death Row" Reynolds in the short-lived but intriguing FX series Lights Out. In 2012, he landed the recurring role of August Marks in the fifth season of the popular FX series Sons of Anarchy. In addition to his live-action work, Brown has also lent his voice to the animated series Transformers: Prime, serving as the second voice of the character Cliffjumper. In 2013, he brought Agent Troy Riley to life in the first season of The Following.
