Bala is an accomplished Indian film actor who has successfully navigated both the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. His acting journey began with the Tamil film Anbu in 2003, before he gained widespread recognition and acclaim for his performances in Malayalam films.
Born into a family deeply rooted in the film industry, Bala's grandfather was the proud owner of the esteemed Arunachala Studios. His father, Jeyakumar, was a prolific director, having helmed over 350 films and documentaries, while his brother Siva has made a name for himself as a director and cinematographer in the industry.
Bala's return to Tamil films in 2014 marked a significant milestone in his career, as he played one of the four brothers of the illustrious Ajith Kumar in the critically acclaimed film Veeram. To achieve the desired on-screen chemistry, Bala was intimately involved with Ajith throughout the film's production, and he expressed his admiration for the actor after the film's release. Directed by Bala's brother Siva, Veeram opened to widespread critical and commercial acclaim.
In addition to his acting prowess, Bala has also ventured into direction, making his debut with the 2012 Malayalam action film The Hit List, in which he also played the lead role.
