Princess Anne Wiazemsky, a renowned French actress, was born on May 14, 1947, to a family of Russian Rurikid princes, specifically the Vyazemsky-Counts Levashov family. Her maternal lineage connects her to the celebrated writer François Mauriac.
Throughout her career, Wiazemsky gained recognition for her roles in several iconic films, including Robert Bresson's Au hasard Balthazar (1966) and Jean-Luc Godard's La Chinoise (1967) and Week End (1967). Her personal life was marked by her marriage to Jean-Luc Godard, which lasted from 1967 to 1979 before the couple divorced.
