Ann Robinson is a renowned American actress, born on May 25, 1929, in Hollywood, California. Her father was a bank employee, and she began her professional journey as a stunt woman. In the 1950s, Paramount signed her as an actress, and her first leading role was as "Sylvia Van Buren" in the 1953 film, The War of the Worlds.
Robinson reprised her role in three episodes of the War of the Worlds television series, 35 years after her initial performance. She also appeared in a small role in the 2005 Steven Spielberg film, War of the Worlds. Despite her initial success as a leading lady, her career took a different turn when she eloped to Mexico to marry a matador, Jaime Bravo, with whom she had two sons, Jaime Jr. and Estefan.
The couple divorced in 1967, and Bravo tragically passed away in an automobile accident in 1970. Robinson then married real estate broker Joseph Valdez in 1987.
