Virginia Ann Lindsay, later known as Ann Perry, was born on March 23, 1936, in the city of Spokane, Washington. Growing up, Perry attended a private Catholic school, where she initially envisioned a future as a nun. However, her life took a dramatic turn when she met her first husband, Ron Myers, while attending a convent. This encounter led Perry to abandon her plans for a life of celibacy and devotion, opting instead for a more secular path.
Perry's early career in the adult entertainment industry began in the early 1960s, when she acted in a handful of soft-core films. However, it was in the 1970s that she decided to take a more proactive role, launching her own production company, Evolution Enterprises. This venture allowed Perry to not only act but also write, direct, and produce her own hardcore movies.
As her career continued to flourish, Perry became a prominent figure in the adult film industry, eventually becoming the first female president of the Adult Film Association of America (AFAA). A strong advocate for free speech, Perry was arrested multiple times on morals charges, which only seemed to fuel her determination to push boundaries and challenge societal norms.
Throughout her life, Perry was married four times and had two children, including a son named Greg Yedding. Despite her many accomplishments and challenges, Perry's life was marked by tragedy when she passed away on September 11, 2015, in Los Angeles, California, due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease.
