Anita Eileen Carey, a talented English actress, graced British television screens from the 1970s onwards. Her initial notable performances were in the popular television programs Beryl's Lot, The History of Mr. Polly, and The Spoils of War. This led to her securing a significant role as Joyce Smedley in the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street from 1996 to 1997.
Following her stint in Coronation Street, Carey continued to appear in various television series. Her impressive range and versatility eventually earned her a spot in the BBC soap opera Doctors, where she played the character Vivien March from 2007 to 2009.
