Angell Conwell is an American actress born on August 2, 1983. Her early life began in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where she resided until the age of two, when her family relocated to Columbia, South Carolina. It was in Columbia that Conwell attended Seven Oaks Elementary School, where she made history by becoming the first African-American student body president.
In 1994, Conwell's career in the entertainment industry took off when she filmed the TV pilot "On Our Own" in Los Angeles. She went on to star in several films, including Soul Plane and Baby Boy, and appeared in various TV productions and series, such as What About Your Friends: Weekend Getaway, One on One, and Cuts. Her acting credits also include a single episode of That's So Raven.
In addition to her work in film and television, Conwell has also made appearances in music videos. She featured in the music videos for Nelly and the St. Lunatics' "Batter Up", released in September 2001, and "Ride wit Me", released on April 24, 2001.
Fast forward to 2010, Conwell landed a recurring role as attorney Leslie Michaelson on the highly-rated CBS daytime drama, "The Young and the Restless". Her portrayal of Leslie Michaelson earned her a spot as a regular cast member on the show.
