Angelica Lee Sin-Jie, born on January 23, 1976, in Kedah, Malaysia, is a talented Malaysian Chinese film actress and pop singer. Her journey in the entertainment industry began with her singing career, which eventually led her to pursue acting in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Lee's breakthrough performance came when she starred in the Asian horror film "The Eye" by the Pang Brothers, earning her numerous accolades including the Golden Horse Award for Best Actress, Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Festival, and a Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Award. This achievement made her one of the few Asian artists to receive the Berlin Film Festival Best Newcomer Awards in 2001 for her role in "Betelnut Beauty".
In addition to her success in "The Eye", Lee has also starred in films such as "20 30 40" alongside Sylvia Chang Ai Jia, who discovered her, and "Koma". She collaborated with the Pangs again on "Re-cycle", which premiered at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
