Andrew Bee was born on a picturesque summer day, June 28, 1962, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as the middle child of three siblings. He grew up in a tumultuous household, replete with adversity, as his estranged father struggled with alcoholism and passed away when Andrew was just eight years old.
In the aftermath of his father's demise, Andrew's mother, with the aid of her own mother, who resided with them, endeavored to raise the three children on her own. When Andrew was thirteen, his grandmother, who had been a constant source of support, sadly passed away, just as Andrew's mother was diagnosed with cancer.
The following six years were marked by multiple operations, and Andrew's mother ultimately succumbed to the disease when Andrew was nineteen years old. This challenging period had a profound impact on Andrew's life, and he was forced to confront the harsh realities of his circumstances.
From a young age, Andrew had always been drawn to the world of acting, but his aspirations were repeatedly delayed by the vicissitudes of life. He pursued a series of disparate careers, including working on the oil rigs in northern Alberta, becoming a journeyman communications electrician, selling men's clothing in various stores, and even briefly modeling in Calgary and Toronto.
However, it was his discovery of ballroom and Latin dancing that ultimately revealed his true passion and talent. After more than two decades of teaching and winning numerous awards, Andrew finally rediscovered his love for acting in 2009, marking a significant turning point in his life.
