Andrés Almeida, a multifaceted individual born in 1977 in Mexico City, has made a significant impact in both the music and acting industries. His journey in music began at the tender age of 14, focusing on percussions and eventually forming his first progressive rock band, Asallam, alongside Fausto Palma.
As an actor, Almeida made his debut in 1997 with a minor role in Jaime Humberto Hermosillo's De noche vienes, Esmeralda. He went on to appear in numerous films and television series, including Y tu mamá también, Déficit, El lenguaje de los machetes, Paraíso, Los Héroes del norte, and many more. His impressive resume boasts a wide range of roles, from minor parts to starring roles, and he has even won an Ariel award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Tiempo compartido.
In addition to his acting career, Almeida has had a long trajectory of collaborations with various musicians. He has worked with the electro-pop band Songs for Eleonor, sharing the stage with notable acts such as Mercury Rev, Ulrich Snauss, Circlesquare, Tujiko Noriko, Beach House, and Architecture in Helsinki.
