Adrian, a trailblazing director and producer in Malaysia, has made a profound impact on the country's film industry. In 2012, he took the initiative to establish the Chinese Film Association of Malaysia, and in 2013, he organized the country's first-ever Chinese movies awards ceremony, the Golden Wau Awards.
His outstanding contributions did not go unnoticed, as he was recognized as one of the Top-10 Outstanding Youths of Malaysia (JCI TOYM) in 2016, and was also included in the 2016 list of 100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs (MIYE 2016).
In 2018, Adrian made history by directing Malaysia's first military action-packed movie, "PASKAL The Movie", based on true events. The film's box office sales reached a remarkable RM30 million. Since then, he has expanded his scope to the Malay film industry, directing the action movie "WIRA" in 2019. To elevate the film, he collaborated with world-renowned Indonesian action star Yayan Ruhian, who had worked on multiple Hollywood movies, to choreograph the action sequences.
In 2020, Adrian took on new challenges, directing his first Malay romantic comedy, "Pasal Kau" (All Because Of You),which is the first Netflix Malaysian original film available in over 190 countries. He also directed his first suspense-thriller series, "Model Family", which is the first original production by Celestial Tiger Entertainment / Thrill.
Undeterred by the pandemic's impact on the industry, Adrian continues to strive for excellence. His latest project, "Ada Hantu", a horror film, will be exclusively streaming on Disney+ Hotstar Malaysia on August 13.
