Adam Horowitz is a renowned television writer, responsible for crafting compelling stories for numerous popular shows. His impressive portfolio includes Felicity, Black Sash, One Tree Hill, Popular, Fantasy Island, Birds of Prey, Life As We Know It, and Lost.
Horowitz's educational background is marked by his attendance at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he crossed paths with his future collaborator, Edward Kitsis. During his time at the university, Horowitz was an accomplished writer and reporter for the Daily Cardinal student newspaper, showcasing his talent and dedication to his craft.
After graduating, Horowitz and Kitsis embarked on a journey to Los Angeles, where they worked together on Fantasy Island, Felicity, and Popular. Their partnership continued to flourish, and they eventually joined the Lost team midway through the first season.
The Lost writing staff, including Horowitz, won the prestigious Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award for Best Dramatic Series at the February 2006 ceremony for their outstanding work on the first and second seasons. Horowitz received subsequent WGA Award nominations for his work on the second and third seasons (2007),the fourth season (2009),and the fifth season (2010).
In addition to his television accomplishments, Horowitz has also ventured into film, co-writing the script for Tron: Legacy and working on the Universal project Ouija Board. Furthermore, he penned the made-for-television movie Confessions of an American Bride.
Horowitz is married to Erin Barrett Horowitz and they share two children together.
