Paul Krenner, a former major with inflated ambitions, coerces scientist Peter Ulof into creating a radiation-based technique to turn men invisible, intending to build an army for sale to the highest bidder. He frees safecracker Joey Faust from prison and subjects him to the invisibility treatment to steal more radium for further experimentation. However, things take a turn when Faust discovers an unforeseen side effect of the treatment.
